Rachel Nation is a second generation Austinite and a graduate of Rice University (BA & BFA) . . .  

and earned her MIS from the University of Texas, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s List and President’s Honor Roll all semesters. 

From day one she’s always looked for opportunities to learn more and work hard. After fifteen years in the technology world, Rachel returned to her family’s roots—real estate. She brings sixteen years of experience as a Realtor / Broker to the table and has built her reputation on personal service. She fosters open relationships with her clients providing personal attention, responsiveness, and a friendly "can-do" attitude. 

Rachel Nation founded Nation Holdings LLC and Hancock Cottages LLC. 

She passionately serves as a Girl Scout mentor, community garden volunteer, and works with home-bound seniors. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, hiking in West Texas, and biking and boating at the lake.

• Rachel attended St. John's School in Houston (where she received the coveted Headmaster's Award for her Senior class--the highest achievement an Upper School student can achieve), and, in true nerd fashion, she still loves uniforms. 

• Rachel owned the 16th short term rental in Austin--long before there was such a thing as AirBNB--and she formed Hancock Cottages LLC corporate rentals which have been featured in the Guardian UK, Statesman, on HGTV and Time Warner Spectrum NEWS. 

• Texas Monthly featured her in their "30 under 30." She loved being the first webmaster at Whole Foods Market and St. Stephen's Episcopal School, designing the Amazon.com home page, creating marketing for the Discovery Channel, has been a panelist at SXSW, and was recognized as DELL computers’ Employee of the Quarter. 

• Rachel holds the following professional Memberships and designations: ABOR, TAR, NAR, Green, LHMS, e-Pro, TAHS, SRS, PSA, CSA, ACC paralegal program, Cornell University Commercial Real Estate.
